189: 07/07/2012: Star Festival in the Rain on Flickr.
It was the Star Festival when Orihime, Weaving Princess and Kengyu, Cow Herder meets once a year. Unluckily, it was rainy and they couldn’t meet this year (The two stars located on the opposite sides of the Milky Way represent them). Regardless of their unhappiness, I went out to Shinjuku to exercise shooting.
一応、この日は七夕だったので、七夕っぽい写真でも…と思いきや、撮影前半は大雨で写真を撮るのも面倒な夜でした。七夕っぽいものを探しに、思い出横丁なんかに行くか? などというツッコミは無用です。

When they saw the pink Thunderbird miniature car turned into 3D two days ago, they insisted that they appear in the G+ stream in 3D. So I took them out to the main approach of a shrine near the office, ta-dah! Now they are happily taking a rest on my home desk, satisfied with the result. To see this 3D photo, try cross-eye viewing.

Shibuya 109 seen in the center of this photo is one of the iconic fashion building in Tokyo. There was an era when every girl wanted to shop at clothing stores in the building.

I took a walk in the nearby park. Not the one near the hospital, but the one near my home. The lens I brought with me was a macro lens, which I didn’t have at the hospital because I didn’t think I would need it for shooting nurses :p Anyway, these are the bud of field mustard. They were starting to bloom.

02/29/2012: Snow in Tokyo #creative366project on Flickr.
We had snow on the leap day of 2012. I hated to walk to the station on a crutch in the morning, but I forgot about that once I held a camera. The crutch was in my left arm, an umbrella in my left hand. the camera my right hand … I squeeze the focus ring of the lens with my left hand that was holding the umbrella … Complicated.

I often visit this place and look up at that statue. Until yesterday, I didn’t know it sings a song with its mouth moving. The song sounded sad somehow …

I rode on a train with a crutch. I wanted to see if I have no problem in commuting by train. I get off at Shinjuku, and walked around the west side of the station. I always look up this tower building at this spot. I like the reflection of the building on the glass case of the elevator.

I went for the last walk before leaving the hospital. I visited Hiroo Sanpo Street to capture the lights there.

I went back home from hospital just for a night. On the way home, my brother kindly took me to Daiba, Minato Ward, and I was able to try Samyang 7.5mm f/3.5 UMC Fish-eye MFT which I had bought several days ago. I need to learn how it works.
February 18, 2012 on Flickr.
We had snow on the previous night. I didn’t know that because I went to bed so early … Any way the nurse opened the curtains this morning and let us know that the roofs down there were white with snow. So I grabbed my camera, said hello to the other patients who were sharing the room, and shot the view. I usually shoot the western sky from the lobby seen behind the windows on the right. I like the reflection of the landscape on those glasses.
