Tried a Canon New FD 85mm f1.2. It works as a 170mm on my GH2. The aperture ring was broken so I had to uses the lock of the mount adapter to change apertures. Now I’m waiting it to be fixed. Its lenses and body look really clean and beautiful. Should I buy it?
267/2011: Moss the Gate Has Gathered on Flickr.
I shot this moss between the shots for the company project at Hiyoshi Taisha Shrine, Shiga. I’ll visit Okinawa tomorrow. Again, it’s for the same project. Shoot photos there a lot. I put them on the sidewalk, letting them enjoy their own reflections and the color of autumn. Right after I took this shot, a strong wind blew and let them fall in the puddle. I rescued them. People around me enjoyed the happening.

“Tokyo Drift” daytime trial Day 2. I visited Daiba last Monday. On my way there, I took Shuto Expressway for trying an ND400 filter again. I wanted to shoot this Junction, and Rainbow Bridge. This one is the former.
261/2011: Many of the Butterflies Have Damaged Wings on Flickr.
Maybe because of the typhoon that hit Tokyo recently, or because of the windy days we had, many of the butterflies have damaged wings. I found this butterfly’s wings were not perfect. You can’t see it from this angle though. It was so hard to focus on it with an MF lens, so this is the only shot I got right.

I wrote about my “night cruising shots” on Fuel Your Photography this month: bit.ly/oNPQ9l. After writing it, I decided to do the same thing during the daytime. This is the first test shot. I need to find out the places this works well. To keep the shutter speed a half second, I used Kenko’s ND400 filter that I bought yesterday.
258/2011: Not-so-easy (Shooting a) Rider on Flickr.
I bought a Canon FD 100mm f2.8. It works as a 200mm equivalent lens on my camera. I went to buy a camera filter at Yodobashi Camera in Shinjuku, when I walked around there and tested the lens from 1970’s. There are more shots at Google+: bit.ly/nN6XEE. 255/2011: Rain Drop Lotus Flower on Flickr.
Last night, the heavy rain prevented me from taking an evening walk. I just wanted to shoot at least one image, I decided to get lower. Worrying that my new Nokton would get wet, I released shutter. The camera was supported with my hands on the wet ground. I shot some, and a rain drop hit the narrow focused area in one of the images. I was singing in the rain.
