03/01/2012: West Shinjuku Fish-eye #creative366project on Flickr.
I wanted to shoot this view with a fish-eye. I had shot an image with my Panasonic LX3 two years ago, but I couldn’t capture the entire view of the buildings. See how the view looks different: bit.ly/y6ZCXF

I often visit this place and look up at that statue. Until yesterday, I didn’t know it sings a song with its mouth moving. The song sounded sad somehow …

We had snow on the previous night. I didn’t know that because I went to bed so early … Any way the nurse opened the curtains this morning and let us know that the roofs down there were white with snow. So I grabbed my camera, said hello to the other patients who were sharing the room, and shot the view. I usually shoot the western sky from the lobby seen behind the windows on the right. I like the reflection of the landscape on those glasses.
02/03/2012: Aoyama and Shinjuku #creative366project on Flickr.
I went all the way to the shopping district of Hiroo and Arisugawa Memorial Park as part of my rehabilitation. On the way to the park, I realized that I had left an SD card in the slot of the laptop. So I bought an 8GB card at a DPE shop I found on the shopping street. I did shoot one or two shots that I really liked.
But a problem happened when I got back. I can view the photos I took on my camera, but the PC I’m using at the hospital doesn’t recognize the card. Damn. So I’ll do with the shot I took this morning (I’m not happy but it’s better than without any shots that I can share). It’s the view the building in Aoyama (foreground) and in Shinjuku (background) from the hospital.

I took a lot of photos when I visited Kudanshita Building which is to be taken down next January. So I deceded to play with them, which is to create a virtual photo book compiled with two 16-page folds and a 8-page fold with two 4-page folds for the title page and the last page. The blank pages have been skipped here though. I’ve also focused on the color editing trying to reproduce the texture of paper print.

The weather was not perfect, but I wanted to go out and shoot the expressways.

What I like about this image is the small star shining through the elevated expressways :)

I’ve shot this angle several times before: bit.ly/vLJhIY. When I visited there this time, the some of the streets lights were off and the atmosphere there were a bit different different.

There was the full moon behind the lanes but couldn’t capture it from where I was standing.

I like the way it is. The afternoon sunlight fills the building.
