View from Above on Flickr.I had two things I wanted to do when I went up on the observatory deck and the roof of Mori Tower, Roppongi Hills. First, I wanted to see the hospital building I stayed from December to January. I saw Mori Tower from there every day. The second thing I wanted to do is to take a photo of Ichinohashi Junction of Metropolitan Expressway from above. So here it is. The main subject of this shot is not Tokyo Tower, mind you.
Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-GH2
Lens: Voigtländer Cosina Nokton 25mm f/0.95

02/28/2012: Singing Robot at Tokyo Opera City #creative366project on Flickr.I often visit this place and look up at that statue. Until yesterday, I didn’t know it sings a song with its mouth moving. The song sounded sad somehow …

01/12/2012: Glimpse #creative366project on Flickr. When I was going to the end of the hallway to see the sunrise, I got a glimpse of the chimney of the garbage disposal facilities in the gap of the curtains in the hospital room.

239/2011: The view from the North Tower of Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building (September 18, 2011) on Flickr.I wanted to see the sun setting, but couldn’t make it. I had to wait in line for about 40 minutes to go up to the observation deck. Anyway, I was able to see the sky right after the sun had set. That was nice. To get this shot, I used the Ninja Ref I bought last week, and it worked so well. I got a lot of attention from the photographers on the observation deck :-p By the way, I was happy to be able to see Mt. Fuji this evening!Ninja Ref is the reflector you can attach to your lens. It cuts the reflections on the glass from behind.

    Edobashi Junction, Shuto Expressway, Tokyo
I took the same kind of photo here, but wanted to try it with my new cam and lens.
Luckily, the maintenance of Nihonbashi Bridge, which is seen beyond the overpass,
was over and the blue sheets that covered it had gone. Good.

Loop Bridge at Night, Shibaura, Tokyo
Wanted to try this angle again in RAW format, and to develop the image myself.

    Horikiri Junction, Shuto Expressway, Tokyo
It isn’t the biggest part of the junction,
but the contrast between the overpass
and the shitamachi residences is interesting.
